WATCHMEN (Isaiah 52:7-9 & Romans 10:14-15)
Deborah Kline-Iantorno & Vince Iantorno ©2011

How lovely on the mountains
Are the feet of the ones who bring good news.
Proclaiming peace to those in Zion;
May the peace of the Lord be upon you.

For how can they call upon the One
they do not know or disbelieve?
And how can they hear if no one tells them?
That the Lamb of God is near!

So listen all you watchmen
Lift up your voices, shout for joy
For when the Lord returns to Zion
Our people our land will be restored.

And they will call upon the One
And they will know and they will see.
And they will hear for someone told them
That the Lamb of God is He!

How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"(Romans 10:14-15) footnote Isaiah 52:7-9
How lovely on the mountains are the feet of him bringing good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation who say to Zion Your Lord reigns. Listen Your watchmen lift up their voices;together they shout for joy. When the Lord returns to Zion they will see it with their own eyes. Burst into songs for joy together, you ruins of Jerusalem, for the Lord has comforted His people, He has redeemed Jerusalem.
